What is expected of you as a student?
• You will be expected to demonstrate a critical approach to the course and be able to apply knowledge to real life economic situations.
• You will need to be able to evaluate economic activity in the context of its impacts on society.
• There is extensive long answer essay writing coupled with mathematical problem solving and a large amount of complex numerical data analysis. You must have strong mathematical skills.
Career Pathways:
Degrees in Economics, Business Studies, Finance, Accounting, Law, Politics among others. Lucrative careers as an entrepreneur, as well as employment in major banks, pharmaceuticals, marketing and charity organisations. Governmental work is also an option. The majority of roles available in “The City” and “Canary Wharf” International work, although studying a second language would be of maximum benefit in this case.
