Drama is a popular subject within the School. It is housed in purpose built accommodation consisting of two studios with lighting box which offers an excellent opportunity for pupils to develop their drama abilities. The subject is taught to all pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 and is a very popular option subject in Years 10 and 11. In the Sixth Form A-Level Drama is offered.

The Department co-ordinated and led the whole school in its bid for Artsmark status. As a result the School was awarded GOLD standard.

The Department consists of two full time and one part time member of staff. It is well resourced. A great emphasis is placed on professional performance. A School play is produced periodically.
