During the course you will study...
how to cope with a wide range of situations abroad and develop the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Listening and Reading will be assessed by a final examination in French where you
choose a combination of papers best suited to your ability. Speaking and Writing are examined through controlled assessment.
You will be expected to...
• be enthusiastic and committed to hard work in the four skill areas.
• show an interest in the country's language and way of life.
• participate actively in pair work and group work activities.
• support any trips organised by the French Department.
Studying this subject could lead to...
• an A/S and A2 Level course in French in the Sixth Form.
• a combined course at University, particularly with Law or Business Studies.
