RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Religious Education programme reflects the fact that the religious traditions in Great Britain are in the main Christian whilst taking account of the teaching and practices of the other principal religions. It is important that pupils learn to express themselves clearly and appreciate the validity of views contrary to their own. All pupils participate in these lessons as part of their general development.
CAREERS EDUCATION
We place great emphasis on helping our pupils to make decisions regarding their future. Careers Education is included in the Personal and Social Education lessons of Years 9, 10 and 11. Advice on choices concerning Year 10 and Year 11 courses is given to pupils in Year 9. Every pupil in Year 11 is offered a personal interview with a member of the Careers Service. Sixth Form students receive individual counselling on request.
